Greetings
Having endured two major financial crises, Korea is now facing increasing wealth inequality and polarization due to a deterioration in income distribution. As a result, social cohesion and social mobility have been impaired and the economy is beginning to lose momentum and growth. To tackle these challenges, the Korean government is actively pursuing income-led growth policies to improve income distribution and achieve sustainable growth.

Accordingly, the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences (NRC) and Korea Development Institute (KDI) will jointly host an international conference entitled “Income-led Growth Policies of the Moon Administration: Evaluation and Challenges” to facilitate the multi-faceted discussions that are required at this crucial time. It will provide a venue to assess the relevant policy efforts from around the world and to explore the future direction for improvement. The conference will be held at the Korea Press Center in Seoul on 29th June, 2018.

We warmly invite you to present your valuable insights which will contribute greatly to enhancing policy and ultimately, the quality of life.

Thank you.
