□ TTCSP, led by James G. McGann, professor at the University of Pennsylvania, has released an annual comprehensive ranking of global think tanks since 2006 based on the compiled data from recommendations by scholars, policy makers, journalists and field experts from around the world and online surveys and expert panel evaluation results.
○ In the 2016 Report, 6,846 think tanks were evaluated by approximately 7,500 experts from various fields.
○ Evaluation items included: researcher capabilities; financial stability; institution leadership; quality and dissemination of research outcomes; seminars; application of research outcomes on policies; and citation by media and academic journals, etc.

□ “KDI will not be swayed by short-term outcomes. It will continue to conduct policy studies in a scientific and objective manner and make substantial contributions to developing national economic policies and advancing the economy. In doing so, KDI will not only reinforce its role as a credible public medium for society but also work harder to become a more advanced institute with outstanding research that is recognized by the global community,” said Joon-Kyung Kim, President of KDI.
