Robert DOHNER
Greetings!
With the goal of facilitating cooperation to overcome the shock caused by COVID-19 and expand mutual benefits between the Korean government and the new Biden administration, the Ministry of Economy and Finance is organizing a policy seminar with Korean Development Institute (KDI) as the host.
We hope to discover possibilities for win-win economic cooperation for Korea and the United States in areas from the global supply chain, including the semiconductor industry, and to other core areas that could be linked to the “Korean Green New Deal” and “Korean Digital New Deal.”
KDI, which just celebrated its 50th anniversary last month, is committed to finding solutions for national and global economic issues through constant communication and joint research with global institutes. This seminar is part of such efforts.
Having gathered renowned scholars from prestigious think tanks such as the Brookings Institution, the Atlantic Council, as well as the most prominent Korean experts in their respective fields, we hope that this seminar will serve as a constructive forum for the two nations’ cooperation, which could help contribute in overcoming many of the current challenges.
Although we unfortunately still find ourselves living “with COVID,” this seminar will provide insights into a new direction for the future of both the Korean and US economies in the “post-COVID” era, which is bound to arrive. We kindly ask for your active support and participation.
Thank you.
