Sudden health, economic, and social challenges concurrently caused by the COVID-19 pandemic prompt us to look beyond and open up a new era of great transformation. Against such mounting threats, governments over the world are forging ahead with bold fiscal stimulus measures. Now is the time to share our intelligence to seek wiser policy directions amid the crisis and create opportunities to leap forward in the new world order afterward.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance, in collaboration with the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), is holding “The 9th Global Fiscal Forum: Fiscal Policy in the COVID-19 Crisis and its Role Afterwards” to look into various fiscal policy measures adopted in major countries and to exchange ideas on the future direction in the post-COVID-19 times.
