Korea Development Institute holds an international conference under the theme
“Residential Welfare and Housing Policies: The Experience and Future"
on June 2th-3th, 2005 at the Conference Hall of KDI, in Seoul, Korea.
- Korea Development Institute (KDI) has carried out a comprehensive project
: Analysis of Housing Market and Related Issues" in 2004. KDI holds
this conference to mark the compelition of the year long study as well as
to share findings of the project.
In the Conference, Dr Choongsoo Kim(president of KDI) will give opening remarks,
followed by Keynote Speech by Professor Christine Whitehead, London School of
Economics. The conference is comprised of 4 sessions and panel discussion, 3
sessions on the 2th and the other session and panel discussion on the 3th, on
housing market and related issues in Korea, real estate market and regulation
policy, residential welfare and low income housing assistance, housing finance
and future development.
KDI expects to this conference to be a venue
to share and discuss the research results with prominent scholars from within
and abroad and highlight a broad range of the issues on residential welfare
and housing policies from a comprehensive point of view.
