Since its first publication in March 1979, KDI’s quarterly economic journal, the KDI Journal of Economic Policy (KDI JEP), has published a total of 35 volumes and one issue. Listed under the Korea Research Foundation, KDI JEP has been recognized as a leading professional journal for publishing rigorous and timely studies on current Korean economic and policy matters.

With the growth of Korea''s economy, KDI has cemented its reputation among domestic and international scholars and practitioners over the years as Korea''s leading economic policy think tank. To expand its global audience and continue to raise its standards of research, the KDI JEP will be published entirely in English starting with its 37th volume in 2015. From September 2014 and on, all paper submissions and inquiries made on behalf of KDI JEP must be written in English. We hope that this transition broadens the journal''s international standing, leading to an SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index) enlistment.
