Greetings
In commemoration of KDI’s 50th anniversary, we cordially invite you to International Conference on Economic Education in East Asia, hosted by the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and organized by the Korea Economic Education Association (KEEA). Together with KDI and KEEA, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF), the Korea Council on Economic Education (KCEE), and the Local Economic Education Centers are sponsoring. The conference will be held online on October 26 (Tue) and broadcast via the KDI YouTube channel from Global Knowledge Exchange and Development Center in Seoul.

Stability in economic life and financial preparedness for a later stage in life is imperative for us all. Especially with the series of social and economic transformations in and around everyday life brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now more crucial than ever that economic agents develop their abilities to make reasonable decisions. What helps them in this process is a systemized economics education that starts from school-age children to adults.

By bringing together economic education experts in the East Asia region, the event functions as a platform to share their expertise and insights into the current status and economics education strategies in different countries. Aiming to explore sensible and systematic ways to economic education, the conference will center around three topics: Part 1. Challenges and Agenda of Economic Education at National Level; Part 2. Delivery System for Economic Education at National Level; and Part 3: Strategy for Financial Education Development at National Level.

We thank you for your consideration and look forward to your participation in this timely event.
