Main Tasks
  • Office of the Executive Director
    • The Office of the Executive Director supervises and comprehensively manages all work performed by PIMAC.
    • Global Cooperation Team analyzes global trends, provides capacity-building programs, and maintains networks with international organizations.
  • Division of Public Investment Evaluation
    • PFS Team 1 conducts the Preliminary Feasibility Study for large-scale public investment projects related to standardized types of projects, such as those in the transportation sector.
    • PFS Team 2 conducts the Preliminary Feasibility Study for large-scale public investment projects related to non-standardized types projects such as those in architecture, information, culture, or R&D sector.
    • RSF Team implements the Reassessment Study of Feasibility, the Reassessment of Demand Forecast (RDF), the Reassessment of the Project Plan, and the Assessment of Design Modification for the projects falling under TPCM (Total Project Cost Management).
  • Division of Public-Private Partnerships
    • Project Appraisal Team provides technical support for the implementation of PPP projects in areas such as VFM (Value for Money) testing, project evaluations, and management for the Reassessment of Demand Forecast (RDF) on PPP projects.
    • PPP Policy Team provides consultation services for legal issues related to the procurement of PPP projects. It also reviews the PPP Basic Plan and Request for Proposals.
    • PPP Finance Team conducts preliminary reviews and provides technical support for reviewing refinancing proposals.
  • Division of Public Policy and Research
    • SOE Project Evaluation Team 1 performs public institution investment projects such as electric power projects and overseas projects.
    • SOE Project Evaluation Team 2 performs public institution investment projects such as industrial complexes and housing site development projects.
    • Policy Research & Tax Expenditure Evaluation Team conducts research and supports management of systems, guidelines, and methodologies related to the evaluation of special taxation.

Office of Global Economy
Providing Economic Forecast and Macroeconomic Policy Direction, the Groundwork for a Brighter Future

The Department of Macroeconomics is conducting researches on the macro economy and macroeconomic policy, particularly focusing on suggesting the analysis of macroeconomic trends and current status of the economy at home and abroad, the economic forecast, and the policy direction of the macro economy. The Department is also in charge of establishing, sustaining and maintaining various econometric models, based on which it analyses policy effects and develops a long-term economic forecast.

  • Policy study on macroeconomic management
  • Basic structural analysis on macroeconomic areas
  • Maintenance of multi-sectoral dynamic macroeconomic model
