greeting
A country with unified and comprehensive public investment management (PIM) framework in place, we are proud to celebrate Korea’s 20 years of the unique PIM system since the introduction of Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS) in 1999.

As experts, scholars, and policymakers in this field look to diagnose and recommend standardised approaches to PIM, we take this event as a timely opportunity to retrace evolution of ideas and guidance in the field and to explore how Korean as well as international engagement around PIM could be improved in future.

Meanwhile, two decades of PIM in Korea has not been without challenges, and carrying out relevant changes and reform is an ongoing endeavour. We therefore dedicate this conference to look back, reflect lessons learned and seek ways to further improve our system.

We thank you for your consideration and cordially invite you to attend this two-day event.

December 2019

President of KDI
