KDI Review of the North Korean Economy for January 2021 presents the article, "Overview: Expected Duration and Depth of North Korea's Economic Crisis," which contains an assessment of macroeconomic trends in 2020 and projection of 2021. This was carried out by compiling and interpreting various observations on the North Korean economy in 2020 and analyzing critical issues related thereto.
In addition, three trend analysis articles are featured: "North Korea's Fiscal Shock and Its Impacts on the Economy," "Effects of Covid-19 on North Korea's Trade," and "North Korea’s Economic Situation: Analysis Based on Fluctuations in Market Prices and FX rates."
