3월 북한경제연구협의회는 중국의 정치, 경제, 외교, 사회 분야 전문가들이 참석하여, 중국의 경제상황을 비롯하여 시진핑 3기 체제에서 한반도 상황을 조망하고 대응방법을 마련하기 위한 의견을 나누었다. 적지 않은 이들이 중국이 시진핑 주석 1인 독재체제로 들어선 것이 아니냐는 우려를 제기하는 가운데, 미중 패권경쟁 격화 및 러시아-우크라이나 전쟁의 장기화 등 국제정세의 불투명성이 높아지면서 한국은 당장 한미일 협력문제, 북한문제 등 다양한 이슈들을 마주하고 있다.

관련하여 이번 3월호는 국내외 전문가들의 관점을 다룬다. 2023년 양회에서 나타난 중국의 경제계획, 정치권력의 구도 변화, 외교 전략과 정책 기조를 분석하고, 급변하는 세계와 동북아 국제환경에서 한국이 경제 및 군사외교 안보차원에서 취해야 할 전략을 가늠한다. 또한 미국의 대북정책에 대한 중국의 시각과 미국의 한반도 정책이 주변 지역 안보 상황에 미친 중대한 변화에 대한 중국전문가의 분석을 중국어 원문과 함께 실었다. 경제자료는 북한의 시장환율과 시장가격 데이터를 실었다.

In March, the North Korean Economic Research Forum gathered a panel of distinguished experts who specialize in China's political, economic, diplomatic, and social spheres. Their purpose was to examine China's economic landscape, forecast the trajectory of the Korean Peninsula under President Xi Jinping's third term, and discuss potential strategies for response. Despite concerns that China may be heading towards autocratic one-man rule, South Korea is facing various challenges, including trilateral collaboration with the US and Japan, and security concerns related to North Korea. These challenges are compounded by the intensification of US-China hegemonic rivalry and the protraction of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which are contributing to global uncertainties.

The March issue features a diverse range of insights from domestic and international sources, which cover topics such as China's economic blueprint, shifts in political influence, and adjustments to foreign policy after the 2023 Annual Parliament Session. The publication also discusses tactics that South Korea should use to address economic, military, and diplomatic security concerns in the rapidly evolving global and Northeast Asian environment. Furthermore, the March edition provides a Chinese perspective on US policy toward North Korea and its impact on regional security, along with the original Chinese text. The economic material section of the issue offers figures and tables on market exchange rates and market price data relevant to North Korea.
