Inflation has been a critical problem in the Korean economy
for more than a quarter century. The major purposes of this
study are to examine the causes and effect of the chronic
inflation in Korea and suggest some policy guideline for future
stabilization efforts. This study on Korean inflation was
undertaken with the financial support of the Japanese Embassy
in Korea.
