Six decades have elapsed since the establishment of the first Five-Year Economic Development Plan, marking a pivotal moment in the history of the Republic of Korea. Emerging from the ruins of the Korean War as one of the world's poorest nations, Korea has since made significant strides, ascending to become the tenth largest economy globally.
However, Korea is currently facing an array of new important challenges. Despite novel industries and technologies rapidly emerging worldwide, some believe that domestic innovation has reached a stalemate. This plateauing of national growth has been compounded by the disconcerting trends of one of the world’s fastest declining fertility rate and an aging population, thereby heightening the complexity of both internal and external conditions.
To ensure that Korea continues its remarkable trajectory of development and secures its position as one of the most advanced global nations, we cordially invite you to join us for the "International Conference for the 60th Anniversary of Korea's Five-Year Economic Development Plan." Your presence at the event would be a great honor for us.
