Vietnamese Delegation from CPV Central Commission
for Policy and Strategy Visits KDI
KDI recently held talks with a delegation led by Nguyen Kim Son, Deputy Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission for Policies and Strategies, sharing Korea’s economic development experience and KDI’s major policy research achievements while discussing avenues for policy cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides exchanged views on Korea’s experience with structural transformation and the fostering of strategic industries during its growth process, policy directions for enhancing productivity and innovation, and cases of institutional reform. They also discussed the role of policy research institutes, sharing each country’s experience with the system through which policy research findings are utilized in the formulation and implementation of government policy.
Deputy Head Nguyen Kim Son expressed interest in Korea’s development experience and policy cases as Vietnam formulates national strategies in the fields of science and technology development, innovation, and digital transformation.
The meeting served as an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding, and both sides expressed hope that exchange and cooperation in policy research would continue going forward.
