- Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) for Infrastructure Development will be held in Seoul, Korea from 2 to 5 October, 2007. The main purpose of the conference is to discuss arrangement of Asia-Pacific regional Public-Private Partnerships network for infrastructure development. The conference is structure in three segment : High-Level Export Group Meeting, Asia-Public Business Forum, and Ministerial Meeting
- High-Level Expert Group Meeting organized by UNESCAP and hosted by Ministry of Planning and Budget of the Republic of Korea, will be held on 2-3 October, 2007. Senior government officials, managing directors of PPP units, and international organizations participate in the meeting. The meeting will discuss major policy issues in governing PPP development, governance issues in PPP, and Asia-Pacific regional PPP network issues.
- Ministerial Meeting, hosted and organized by Ministry of Planning and Budget in collaboration with UNESCAP, will be held on 5 October, 2007. Ministers from the UNESCAP member countries will participate in the meeting. The Meeting will discuss cooperation within Asia-Pacific region and adopt a ministerial declaration.
- Asia-Pacific Business Forum, hosted and organized by UNESCAP and KDI. It will provide participants whit a platform to discuss how to develop infrastructure through Public-Private Partnerships. Issues for discussion include risk and role allocation between public and private sectors, and investment strategies in PPP projects. The forum will be organized back-to-back with the Ministerial Meeting to ensure the presence of ministers and senior government officials. Over 200 business leaders, managing directors of PPP units, senior government officials, academics and civil society representatives from Asia-Pacific region and across the world are expected to participate.
