- Summary
-
The purpose of this study is to examine the patterns and
factors of growth in the Korean textile industry. The analysis is
descriptive in order to show the structural changes and
characteristics of the industry in each phase of development. The
paper, therefore concentrates on providing the statistical series
and on determining the events which caused various industrial
changes. While our main purpose is to observe the growth
pattern of Korea's textile industry, a considerable portion of this
study relates to the development processes of major branches of
the textile industry. This is necessary because of the diversified
