Now, as the world faces unparalleled challenges arising from slow growth, polarization, and low employment and birth rates, KDI has shifted its focus and research capacity to resolving social conflicts, and establishing an advanced economic paradigm that can lay the foundations for the coming five decades.
To that end, comprehensive efforts are being made to a build a framework and seek a mid- to long-term direction for the Korean economy in macroeconomics, industry/market, labor/education, public/government finance, regional development, culture, and inter-Korean relations.
The ‘What’s Next? KDI’s Perspective on the Future Agenda for the Korean Economy,’ held in honor of KDI’s 50th anniversary, embodies these endeavors and presents experts from around the globe with the ideal forum to discuss their perspectives on the need for and trajectory of a new path forward.
Accordingly, your participation and presence in this event will be greatly appreciated.
Choi, Jeong Pyo
President, Korea Development Institute (KDI)
