Inclusive Korea 2018 presents three key elements for Korea’s visions for the future―“inclusion,” “innovation” and “peace.” There will be two keynote speeches followed by six sessions.
ㅇ Inclusion: As stated in the constitution, “the sovereignty of the Republic of Korea shall reside in the people, and all state authority shall emanate from the people.” Thus, basic livelihoods should be better guaranteed through increased democracy, employment stability, income and educational opportunities to foster the ideal conditions for the people to protect their dignity under any circumstances.
ㅇ Innovation: Creative learning will serve as a key to enhancing human resources, and innovative S&T progress will inject new dynamism into economic growth. Accordingly, Korea will be able to make a full transition towards an innovative economy.
※ “Inclusion” and “Innovation” are complementary and both will play a key role in creating a mutually beneficial community in which social guarantees and an innovative economy merge seamlessly.
ㅇ Peace: An inclusive spirit, which balances the relationship between security and mutually beneficial coexistence, will contribute to establishing sustainable peace on the Korean peninsula. Korea will also lead by example in contributing to regional and world peace and prosperity.
